MDOP 2009 (R2)
It 'was released yesterday and is already available for download, the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack 2009 R2.
The version of MDOP 2009 was released the first of April 2009, and the issue in these days of R2 is linked to the updating of various instruments that make MDOP better support for deployment of Windows 7.
App-V 4.5 SP1 to deploy virtualized applications on Windows 7 (32-bit), while version 4.6 will allow the deployment of virtualized applications also hosted a 64-bit. Currently the version 4.6 of App-V is in beta and the release of the final version is expected by the first half of 2010.
As for Med-V 1.0 SP1, the version of Med-V will support Windows 7, the beta is expected later this year and the full release in the first quarter of 2010.

More detail about release of Windows 2008 R2
All,
as I wrote in my precedent post, in the same time that Microsoft will release Windows 7 as well it will release Windows 2008 R2, but from Ward Ralston, Group Product Manager of Windows Server Marketing we notice that Windows Server 2008 R2 RTM code is on track to be available to all partners sometime in July. Windows Server 2008 R2 will also be broadly available about the same time as the Windows 7 GA date of Oct 22.

Update AD from Windows 2003 to Windows 2003 R2
For update AD from Windows 2003 SP1 to Windows 2003 R2 you need to remmeber that thare are two differente version of AD, the first is AD vers. 3.0 the second is AD 3.1.
At this pourpose you must update AD infrastructure and schema with ADPREP command, but it’s important theat this command will be launched from Windows 2003 R2 CD2.
